This month in my Evening Standard Column, where I am the resident cosmetic medical expert, I discussed treatments for facial sagging.

A large number of patients who visit my Moorgate Clinic do so to improve the “pulled down” look of their face and jowls or their neck sagging.

Over time, as gravity and collagen loss take their toll, the skin's underlying structure descends leaving dropping undesired jowls, a saggy neck and a less taught appearance of the skin. Often my female patients will report that they have noticed this “drop” of the face happened at an accelerated level around the time of menopause and this is attributed to a sharp decline in the amount of oestrogen which is inherently linked to collagen production. 

I am well known as a “Anti-wrinkle injection Doctor” performing thousands of Anti-wrinkle injection treatments per year at my London Cosmetic Clinic, I do also spend a large percentage of my time now specialising in non-surgical facelift treatments for the face and neck. As one of the UK experts in Silhouette Soft Thread Lifts I have performed more thread lift treatments than most UK doctors this year, I presented at the National Conference for Silhouette Soft in June and attended the international World Expert meeting for Silhouette Soft thread lift in Barcelona in October.
