More FAQs

How does it work?

Our faces begin to sag as we get older, creating an aged appearance and inevitable wrinkles and lines. This is due to a loss of structural proteins like elastin and collagen. By administering a variety of injectable treatments to your face, we can reduce the visibility of wrinkles and give your whole face an uplifted, youthful appearance.*

What does a liquid facelift involve?

After applying a topical anaesthetic, your doctor will give you a series of small injections. The liquid facelift uses a range of relaxants and fillers to achieve the desired effect, and these can be administered to specific areas of the face (like the cheeks or under the eyes) or to your face as a whole, depending on your requirements.

What are the results?

A rejuvenated facial appearance; after the treatment, your facial features will be noticeably lifted and your overall appearance will be much more youthful. The liquid facelift can also be used on particular parts of the face, reducing under-eye bags, jowly cheeks and saggy skin around the mouth.*

Are there any side effects?

Patients may experience a burning sensation when the injection is administered but this should pass quickly. Some patients suffer from swelling and redness; this is a temporary reaction and will usually subside shortly after the procedure.

Cautions / contraindications

The liquid facelift is not suitable for pregnant/breastfeeding women or anyone who suffers from severe allergies.

If you would like to learn more about the liquid facelift, email info@drleah.co.uk.

Full list of side effects, cautions and contraindications will be discussed at face to face consultation.

Please note: Any injectable procedure will only be undertaken after your face to face consultation with one of our medical practitioners, during which a full assessment will be carried out and full list of cautions and contraindications discussed.
