Dr Leah Totton, 28, has been recognised as one of the UK’s Ten Inspirational UK Entrepreneurs under the age of thirty by FreeOfficeFinder.com as they celebrate the UK’s young talent.

On hearing that she had been recognised, Dr Leah was delighted:

“I am delighted and honoured to be recognised in this way. There are so many inspirational young entrepreneurs in the UK, and to be grouped with them is fantastic. I am so pleased that the hard work that myself and my team have put into Dr Leah Cosmetic Skin Clinics has been appreciated in this way”

Dr Leah Totton won the BBC TV series The Apprentice in 2013 and subsequently opened two cosmetic skin clinics with her business partner Lord Alan Sugar. Dr Totton studied Medicine at the University of East Anglia, in Norwick, and qualified top of her year and with a distinction in medicine.  She was already practicing as a doctor in a busy London hospital A&E department when she applied to be on the BBC’s The Apprentice series.

Leah invested the £250,000 prize money from The Apprentice to establish her own cosmetic skin clinics, alongside Lord Sugar.  The first of the self-titled Dr Leah Clinic's was launched in Moorgate, Central London in 2014 and she opened a second clinic in Loughton, Essex in 2016.  Dr Leah Clinics offer the most innovative and contemporary aesthetic skin treatments.  Dr Leah herself is an award winning practitioner for Silhouette Soft skin lifts and the clinics offer a world-exclusive 3D bespoke fat-busting treatment. Dr Leah, is now a respected cosmetic skin specialist and is currently undertaking a Masters in Dermatology at the University of Cardiff, to expand her credentials in this field.

With so many young people excelling in business in the country, the FreeOfficeFinder.com felt that it was important to showcase talented individuals to inspire other young people into doing the same thing. There are so many people out there with business ideas who don’t have the confidence or knowledge of how to turn these ideas into reality. Their hope is that this list will hopefully inspire them to do so.

“Starting a business can be hard and very daunting, but I feel that putting together this list shows people that you are never too young to start or make a success of things. Business is a learning curve for people of all ages, so the earlier you get into it, the more you will learn”.

SaidNick Riesel, founder of FreeOfficeFinder, he continued

“We decided to feature Leah on the list because she has already achieved so much at a young age. She has gone on from winning the Apprentice to become hugely successful at something she is passionate about, which is a great lesson for people wishing to go into business.

The fact that she is taking a masters degree to further herself shows incredible ambition which is something that all successful business owners must have”.

Dr Leah Totton one of the UK’s leading aesthetics doctors has put together her top hints and tips for the time table of treatment you may be considering in the run up to your wedding.

My first tip is to plan in advance

Most newly engaged couples will tell you that the first thing everyone says after “congratulations” and “let me see the ring” is “so when’s the wedding?”  In 1959 Brides Magazine recommended that couples set aside 2 months to prepare for their wedding[1]. In 2015 they now recommend with 12 months to go that you book your venue[2] (for many of the more popular venues lead times can be considerably longer).  Booking the initial consultation with a doctor who can give cosmetic skin advice should also sit high on the list of early ‘must do’s’, as treatments should be timed and co-ordinated so that they reach their maximum effectiveness on the big day.

Create a countdown for your wedding day beauty

Four months before the wedding

This is the best time for a High Intensity Focused Ultrasound also known as ‘3D SkinMed’, ‘Ultrasound Facelift’ or ‘Ultherapy’.  It has become one of the most sought after lifting treatments for face and neck.  3D SkinMed is a one-off treatment which will help you achieve tighter, firmer, lifted skin.  This is also a perfect precursor to a non-surgical face and neck lift.

Three months before the wedding

Have a Silhouette Soft treatment – a two phased non-surgical face and neck lift for brides (and their mums).  The initial skin lift is immediate, but the results are progressive and after three months, the body will react by producing its own collagen to rejuvenate the face.

Two months before the wedding

Embark on a series of 3D liposuction treatments to eliminate unwanted fat cells from the body safely, efficiently and non-invasively. We use targeted ultrasonic waves to destroy fat cells without harming any other cells in your body.   6-8 treatments, a week apart are recommend for maximum effect.

One month before the wedding

Your face will never be more photographed than during your wedding celebrations so a month before the big day is the best time to have your anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers to finesse the face and give it time to settle down.

The week before the wedding

Have a facial treatment to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, massage and tighten the skin so that it glows with health and vitality on the big day.  This will also tackle any last minute break outs brought about by nerves and stress.  You need to allow 48 hours for the skin to settle down after treatment and for the full effects to be appreciated.

I have also consulted with a couple of wedding experts to provide you with make-up and photography tips in advance of the big day… and on the day itself.

ü  Don’t leave things to chance…. Planning is everything.

ü  Book an appointment with your wedding photographer in advance to chat, share mood board images and plan how you want the story of your wedding portrayed

ü  Book an appointment with a make-up artist months before the wedding to plan your look

ü  Co-ordinate planning and timing of make-up and cosmetic skin treatments

ü  Have hair and make-up trials to ensure everything is just as you want it.

Sarah Brock one of the UK’s leading bridal make-up artists gives her top tips to maximise your smile on your wedding day:

ü  On the run-up to your wedding day, use a good lip balm regularly to ensure that your lips are in tip-top condition for your big day

ü  If you are worried about lipstick transferring on to your teeth, after you have applied all of your lip colours, place a finger in-between your lips to remove any excess.

ü  For long lasting lip colour on your wedding day, first apply lip liner all over the lip area. Then apply a few coats of lipstick, blotting with a tissue in between. Then apply a thin layer of lip gloss for a gorgeous, bridal pout!

Wedding Photographer Paul Webb also offers his top tips for beautiful smiles in wedding photographs:

ü  It is better if your wedding photographer can capture those natural moments of you interacting with your husband and wedding guests.

ü  Naturally smiling pictures are always better than those where people have to pose.

ü   Don’t say ‘cheese’ it stretches the mouth unnaturally; instead say words ending in ‘uh’ (yoga) it creates a more natural looking smile.

ü  Keep calm and enjoy your wedding day.  When  you relax those natural happy smiles will come  …naturally
